A Wonderful Winter Wedding By The Sea
It’s always an absolute pleasure to create paper pretties for friends (not to mention a little bit scary with the pressure) but when Lauren and mark invited us to help with the styling set up of their fabulous Salcombe winter coast wedding I of course jumped at the chance.
This stylish couple wanted a day that reflected them as a couple, their stunning coastal venue in Devon and as Lauren and I met studying design at university the little design details were all important too. The colour palette for this winter wonder was a beautiful ice blue, along with soft blush and metallic warm gold foil accents, then to inject a little pop of colour a stunning rich marsala purple. A hint of winter was added with snowflakes very subtly scattered across the paper elements, as well as the brides own hand knitted snowmen favours which were a huge hit – and it’s easy to see why.
Quirky signage was used to add to a beautiful warm atmosphere in both the ceremony at Cliff Top House and at the reception. Working with the bride to be directly, and the lovely team at Salcombe Harbour Hotel we created a stylish reception space that worked with both the space and the creative elements for the day. Amazing floral installations from Twig of Salcombe, provided a soft and pretty accent to the space, with bespoke named menus for each guest taking pride of place at the tables.
Take a look at some of the stunning images below from Will Dolphin Photography to see what a perfect winter wedding this truly was. Enjoy!
