A new year is approaching , and like most people, you’re probably thinking about your goals for the year ahead. The problem? Most people go about it all wrong. They set lofty goals, forget to review them, or never even write them down. And by February, that enthusiasm starts to fade.

Goal setting isn’t just about dreaming big - it’s about creating a plan that actually works.
So here are my top ways to ensure that 2026 is your best year yet!

Write it down
Start by writing your goals down. Seeing them on paper makes them real and gives you a roadmap to follow.

Review Regularly
Check back in and review your goals regularly. Checking in each month helps you stay on track, adjust where needed, and celebrate the small wins along the way.

Self belief is key
Believing in yourself wholeheartedly is another key piece. If you doubt your ability to achieve your goals, it’s much harder to make progress. If you struggle with this then carve out some time to work on it. Without this you won't achieve everything you set out to as self doubt and imposter syndrome will creep in when the going gets tough.

Don't dream too small
Finally, don’t dream too small. Your goals should challenge you, inspire you, and excite you - because that’s where growth happens. In like to set some really scary big goals and then a handful of smaller ones I know I can easily achieve for a good balance.

If you need some help with getting started our personalised diaries are so useful. With dedicated monthly goal-setting pages, they are a reminder to continually set and review those goals. They help turn intentions into achievements and make sure 2026 is your best year yet.
